Lakeview is an inner city community unto itself. With easy access to North Glenmore Park and the interconnected pathways, from where one can easily explore the entire city and surrounding area by bicycle. Lakeview has plenty of in community pathways that connect with local playgrounds. Local shopping includes an I.G.A. grocery store, a Shopper's Drug Mart, a liquor store, a gluten free bakery and a barber. Dining options include the Dairy Queen, Bella Roma Pub and Restaurant and the Sierra Cafe.  The southwest corner of the neighbour hood connects directly to the Weaselhead Flats parking lot.
